Pratt & Miller Defense to Debut Infantry Sized Trackless Moving Targets at I/ITSEC 2017
Detroit, MI (November 15, 2017) – Pratt & Miller Defense will debut the newest addition to its Trackless Moving Targets (TMT) family of live fire training platforms at I/ITSEC 2017. The TMT-I is an infantry sized moving target which is not constrained by rails and can be operated in a much more realistic manner.
“Every warfighter needs to experience training against the TMT-I targets. These infantry targets fill the gap between ‘canned’ scenarios and force on force training and are the next closest thing to engaging actual threats in combat.” Vince Pope (CWO5 Marine Gunner, USMC Ret) - Training Applications Specialist for TMT.
TMT-I joins the family of TMT platforms, which range in size from infantry to armor vehicle size (TMT-V). Both TMT variations combine a highly mobile platform with GPS path following technology and a zone-based hit detection system for reactive behavior scenarios and hit scoring. TMT-I and TMT-V can be deployed in groups or individually to maximize the live fire training experience. Under contract to the US Army PEO-STRI, Pratt & Miller Defense has been developing the Trackless Moving Target (TMT) technologies since 2013.
I/ITSEC, the world's largest modeling, simulation, and training conference, will be held November 27 to December 1, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.
